Many structures that are located near
railroads, businesses, and homes have fences around them. The SSM Chain
Link Fence Kit is very easy to use, and comes with 24 brass posts that are a
scale 1.5 inches in diameter. The kit also includes enough brass material
for a gate. The fence material is attached to the posts with super glue
after the posts are anchored in place. The kit includes enough fencing
material to construct 240 scale feet of fence.

Since
the late 1880's, snow has caused problems for the railroads. Drifts across
the tracks caused trains to derail or get stalled. The UP, WP, CGW, and
other northern railroads started using snow fences to control the drifting snow. The snow fences were set up in single or double rows to slow the wind as it
passed through the slats and cause the snow to fall to the ground. The SSM Snow
Fence Kit includes enough precut wood to assemble eight fence sections that are
each 15 scale feet long. Templates and detailed instructions are included to ease
construction. For more information, read the article by Todd Walton titled Sierra Scale Models’ HO Scale Snow Fence Kit No. 135. |
